The Reverend Rhonda R. Taylor joined United Methodist Church of Hartford on July 1, 2014. Previously she served First & Wesley United Methodist Church of West Haven, where she had been since 2007. She describes her core ministerial gifts as " administration, pastoral care, Biblical teaching, preaching and creative worship." She was awarded a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from North Carolina Central University in 1990, and a Masters of Divinity degree from New York Theological Seminary in 2003. She entered the ministry in 2004, and was ordained as an elder in 2007. Prior to the ministry, she worked in the fields of banking and computer technology.
Pastor Taylor was born and raised in Queens, New York, where her father still lives in the same house in which she grew up. Her mother, who recently made her transition to be with the Lord, left her with " a legacy of Southern etiquette and teaching." She describes herself as "an energetic and optimistic servant of God." She states "I will strive for spiritual excellence and am committed to loving God and God's people." Pastor Taylor characterizes her interests as "music, cooking, dancing, running, travel, exercise, meeting new people, and relaxing (hey, a girl can only dream)."
Joy Craig joined us as Office Assistant in late 2014. She has worked as an administrator in a number of industries and enjoys serving the United Methodist Church of Hartford community and reporting to Pastor Rhonda. She has a wide variety of office responsibilities including handling correspondences and bulletins, and keeping the office organized and efficient.

Mary Douglas joined United Methodist Church of Hartford as Music Director/Organist in April of 2017. She comes well prepared with a bachelor's degree in piano performance and psychology from the University of South Alabama, and a master's degree in choral music and organ from New Orleans Baptist Seminary. In her position as Music Director, she will work with Pastor Rhonda, the Choir and the entire congregation.
In addition to her job at United Methodist Church of Hartford, Mary works for the U.S. Census Bureau, and is an avid Star Trek fan.
Jeffrey has been the building and grounds manager/custodian at United Methodist Church of Hartford since July of 2009. He is responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of the church building, as well as the church and parsonage grounds. Jeff performs repairs himself, and is also involved with the hiring, coordinating and supervising of outside contractors. Among his other duties are monitoring fire safety and security systems, provision of custodial supervision and services for non-church meetings, and supervision of volunteers for church maintenance projects.
Jeffrey lives in the West End of Hartford, and is active in the West End Civic Association. Currently he serves as Co-Chair of the Association's Sub-Committee on Public Safety.
